wanderamaranth: (SPN: Castiel)

A Late-Season Six Fanmix for Castiel and his relationship with the Winchesters (particularly Dean). Could be considered a general mix, I suppose, but with (very) strong slash tones.

You may not want me but I'm oh so real... )

Most of my f-list knows that I have a deep and abiding love for the unusual, strange, and odd. Many of you also know that religious and/or supernatural elements in storytelling are sure to get my attention. Which is probably why I feel compelled to share my steadily growing love with a web-based show that hasn't even aired yet with you: Divine.

The Divine: The Series website describes the show here. If you are interested in horror, the supernatural, religious storytelling, or even are just interested in cool visual effects and ingenious cosmetic design, you should check out their site, follow their Twitter, or "like" them on Facebook. SERIOUSLY, just go and check out what they already have posted. I think it's a real cool project they have started here, and they can use support.

AND if you're as intrigued by the premise and promise of this series as I am, you can go one step further and become a backer on Kickstarter.

Beyond all of the (admittedly really awesome) potential this series has from a storytelling POV, I also love what they are proposing business-wise. They state it much more clearly and concisely than I could on their Kickstarter main page, but the general gist is this: If Big TV Corporations are not going to allocate a budget for experimental television, then the creators of said experiment are going to go to the people who are their target audience and ask them if they're willing to pay to see what they're offering. They've started with the Supernatural fandom, going out, asking for donations, seeing if there is an interest. If they're able to raise money by asking the fans, then they'll be able to find corporate backers, get more money, etc. But first, fans of this genre have to prove that they even exist (in a profitable manner) to begin with.

SO *ahem* enough of me playing the gaberlunzie. ^_^ If you're interested, please, check out their sites.

I already know that this is going to be another huge fandom for me. :)
